Bhutan's only international airport is in Paro. Drukair and Bhutan Airlines operate flights from Bangkok, Singapore, Delhi, Kathmandu, and other regional hubs. We can assist with flight bookings and ensure you have all necessary travel documents.

📄 Do I need a visa for Bhutan?

Yes, all visitors except Indian nationals require a visa. Visas are arranged through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator like us. We handle the entire visa process for you. The visa is issued upon arrival at Paro International Airport, and we'll ensure all paperwork is in order before you travel.

💵 What is the SDF (Sustainable Development Fee)?

The SDF is a daily fee that goes towards Bhutan's education, healthcare, and infrastructure development. It's included in our tour packages. The current SDF is $100 USD per person per night for adults, with reduced rates for children.

🌤 What's the best time to visit Bhutan?

The best times are spring (March to May) when rhododendrons are in bloom, and autumn (September to November) for clear skies and festival season. Winter (December to February) is great for clear mountain views and birding, while summer (June to August) brings lush greenery but more rainfall.

🌄 What's the altitude like?

Bhutan ranges from 100m in the southern foothills to over 7,000m in the Himalayas. Most tours stay between 1,500m and 3,500m. We include proper acclimatization days in our itineraries, especially for treks. If you have concerns about altitude, we can customize your itinerary accordingly.

🏨 What kind of accommodation can I expect?

We offer a range of accommodations from comfortable 3-star hotels to luxury resorts. In remote trekking areas, we use high-quality camping gear with comfortable tents, sleeping mats, and all necessary amenities. Our homestay options offer an authentic glimpse into Bhutanese family life.

🍽 What's the food like in Bhutan?

Bhutanese cuisine is flavorful and often spicy, featuring ingredients like chili, cheese, and rice. The national dish is Ema Datshi (chili and cheese). We can accommodate dietary restrictions — just let us know in advance. Meals are typically included in our packages.

💳 Can I use credit cards in Bhutan?

Major credit cards are accepted at hotels and larger shops in Thimphu and Paro. However, we recommend carrying cash (USD or Bhutanese Ngultrum) for smaller villages and markets. ATMs are available in major towns. We'll advise you on the best currency practices before your trip.
