Drive · Thimphu → Punakha

Dochula Pass (3,100m) – 108 chortens with panoramic Himalayan views. Visit Chimi Lhakhang – the fertility temple. Punakha Dzong – the 'Palace of Great Happiness'. Cross the Punakha Suspension Bridge.

Moderate hike – 4–6 hours round trip to Taktsang Monastery (3,120m). One of Asia's most sacred and spectacular sites. Optional: Traditional hot stone bath upon return.
